NEREUS TF Interreg IVc activities

The WG met for the first time in the framework of the 2009 NEREUS GA. On this occasion, Ms Birgit Urban and Mr Bernardini Papalia, former co-chairs of the WG presented the TF Intrreg IVc context activities, the objectives as well as the first steps of the work of the WG.The minutes of the meeting are available to download here.

The second working group meeting was held on the occasion of the Symposium organized in Granada on 15 April 2010. Its work session focused on the role played by Regional Policy for developping space technology applications within NEREUS regions. Ms. Birgit Urban, chair of the WG, gave an exhaustive presentation which included also an overview on the current discussion about the future of the Regional Policy in the broad context of the Europe 2020 strategy.

On the occasion of the Toulouse Space Show 2010, NEREUS organized a Round Table on Regional Policy chaired by NEREUS-President, Mr Alain Bénéteau. The round table debate centered on the question: What role does space play for regions and - what role do regions play for space? Apart from that the participants tackled the issue how space applications could contribute to the EU 2020 Strategy objectives.
