EO/GMES

EO/GMES WG aims to identify and promote regional priorities within the European GMES initiative; GMES provides observation data from Earth Observation satellites and ground based facilities; there is a specific focus on end user needs. Three sub-groups have been created for:

- Land Applications ( contact: Ms. Paola Carrara, Lombardy; Mr. Silvano De Zorzi, Veneto)

- Maritime Oceanography (contact: Mr. Alain Podaire, Midi-P)

- Security and Hazard Response

The latest NEREUS Position Paper on Provisions for GMES in the Multiannual Financial Framework 2014-2020 is now available to download.

25 Uses of GMES in the NEREUS regions is a NEREUS publication containing 25 descriptive articles which illustrate the widespread and growing application of Earth Observation and GMES in the NEREUS regions.The publication has been prepared through a collaborative effort by the NEREUS Earth Observation/GMES Working Group which already has over 50 participating contributors from NEREUS Regions (Full Members) and Associate Members, with representation from 17 out of the 26 current NEREUS member regions.
