VIENNA

Vienna is the Capital of Austria and at the same time the national centre of research and development. 10 universities and numerous scientific institutions are located in Vienna. Only 50 kilometers away from Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, Vienna has become an important hub for business activities with Eastern Europe.

About 3500 employees are employed in the aerospace sector. More than 50% of the products are in the field of composites and metals and machining. Further 13 % are related to communications and electronics. Research and technological development services in the region focus on e.g. engineering of telematics and traveller information systems, development of geographic information systems and infrastructures for the utilisation of Earth Observation data.
