The GNSS WG works to better exploit the GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) services offered by GALILEO for the benefit of regions, as well as to provide input into the European policy process. It closely monitors the work of the European GNSS Supervisory Authority (GSA) which manages all public interests related to European Global Navigation Satellite System programmes.

Paul Bhatia, from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Nottingham (East Midlands) is the new chair of the GNSS WG. He will lead the Working Group throughout the year 2016.
Professor Alessandro Caporali (University of Padua, Veneto Region) and Professor Stefano Gandolfi (University of Bologna, Emilia Romagna Region) will step in for 2017 and 2018, on a rotative basis.
