6th CASSINI Hackathon: Space for International Development & Humanitarian Aid, 3 to 5 November 2023 (deadline to apply 8 June)

What is it?

CASSINI Hackathons & Mentoring is part of the European Commission’s CASSINI initiative to support space entrepreneurship. They are a series of six hackathons over three years that tackle global challenges with space technologies. These hackathons bring together young professionals, students, researchers, and entrepreneurs with interests in software, data, design, and business to create innovative solutions with Earth observation data, satellite positioning technologies and satellite communications. The winners of each hackathon get access to the CASSINI Mentoring programme.

How does it work?

The 6th CASSINI Hackathon will take place from 3 to 5 November 2023, simultaneously in 10 locations across Europe. Hundreds of participants will put their skills to the test and work on three common challenges focusing on international development & humanitarian aid. Each hackathon location will be run by a local organiser, who will receive a comprehensive support package to implement the hackathon in their city, region, or country.
