NEREUS organised the webinar: EU Space Package – Info Session II: EU Space Act and Vision for a European Space Economy, as part of its series of online events on the proposed EU Space Package on Wednesday, 11 March 2026, from 10:00 to 11:30h. The session welcomed over 120 participants from European institutions, regional authorities, and industry.
The session provided an in-depth look at the EU Space Package, its objectives, scope, and expected impact for Europe. Contributions came from key institutional representatives:

Giovanni Baggio, on behalf of Elena Donazzan (MEP, ITRE Committee) shared the European Parliament’s perspective and highlighted priorities and points of discussion in the legislative process.

Nadia Pellefigue (Vice-President of Occitanie, CoR) and Angelo Pagliara (EESC) presented the views of the Committee of the Regions and the European Economic and Social Committee.
Regional and industry perspectives were highlighted by Michele Peterle (AIR – Aerospace Innovation and Research, Veneto), showcasing opportunities for regional stakeholders and industry engagement.
The webinar concluded with a dynamic exchange with participants, exploring political priorities, potential challenges, and the implications of the EU Space Act for stakeholders across Europe.
