NEREUS, in collaboration with Emilia-Romagna Region and ART-ER, we are pleased to launch the official Call for Solutions for the upcoming 5th European Symposium by NEREUS Regions: “Space Data powered by Data Valleys and AI Factories”, taking place in Bologna (Italy) on October 22-23, 2026.
As you know, being involved previously, Public Administrations from several European NEREUS Members regions have identified and published concrete “Challenges”—specific regional needs and operational problems that can be effectively addressed through Space Data, Earth Observation, and Artificial Intelligence. We wish to thank all members who promoted the initiative within their region.
We are now inviting solution providers (SMEs, startups, large companies, and research centers) to submit innovative technological solutions in response to these public needs. AND we are inviting all the Nereus Regions to share such an opportunity to all the local stakeholders who provide solutions in the Earth Observation Sector.
Why should your regional stakeholders/Service providers participate?
- B2G Matchmaking: Present solutions directly to public sector decision-makers who have active territorial needs and dedicated interest.
- Partnerships and Networking: Connect with a high-level international network of space-tech experts, digital factories, and regional authorities.
This kind of dialogue and exchanges are precious for spreading the uptake of space solutions but also to influence dynamics that space-based services better respond to regional needs.

- Browse the Challenges: Review the detailed descriptions and requirements of all published challenges at this link
💡 Note: We highly recommend checking this page periodically, as new regional challenges may be added over the coming weeks. - Identify the Challenge ID: Select the challenge(s) that align with your expertise and note their specific ID Code (e.g., ID: #01-NameOfTheRegion).
- Submit your proposal: Fill out the dedicated Call for Solutions Form
💡 Note: If you wish to submit solutions for multiple challenges, please complete and submit the form separate times—once for each specific Challenge ID).
⚠️ Crucial Requirements to Keep in Mind:
- In-person attendance: All B2G matchmaking sessions and meetings will be held exclusively in person at the DAMA Technopole in Bologna.
- Mandatory registration: Submitting a solution via the form does not automatically register you for the event. To attend the Symposium and the matchmaking sessions, you must officially register at this link.
Deadline for submission: Tuesday, September 15th, 2026 (EoB).
