As part of the European Week of Regions and Cities, the RES2FIRE Interreg project partnership will bring together regional and local stakeholders to discuss how European cooperation can help address the growing threat of wildfires.

The workshop will explore innovative approaches to wildfire prevention, risk assessment and community resilience, with real-world examples from the Adriatic–Ionian region. Local administrations, development agencies, universities and research centres will share how new technologies, territorial cooperation and awareness strategies can support regions in preparing for increasing wildfire risks.
🌱 The discussion will also highlight the added value of European Territorial Cooperation and its contribution to stronger, more resilient Mediterranean regions, in line with the EU strategy to tackle rising wildfire threats.
